NATIONAL EVALUATION CAPACITY

As part of the 2030 Agenda, the UN system is mandated (General Assembly's Resolution A/RES/69/237) to contribute to international efforts for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through strengthening National Evaluation Capacity (NEC). 

Supporting Member States in this regard is part of the core functions of IES and is included in the UNODC Evaluation Policy. EVALUATION CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT

IES supports UNODC staff in strengthening evaluation capacity development in a variety of ways. This includes providing technical support and assistance to help guide project managers and evaluators in the evaluation process.

In addition, IES develops and revises evaluation guidelines, templates and tools (including Unite Evaluations) for evaluation management. Moreover, IES uses each evaluation for on-the-job training, tailored to the different needs of the target audience.
